St Lucia Estuary & Cape Vidal
A full day of exploration every which way imaginable, starting at the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park (iSimangaliso Wetland Park) – a World Heritage Site – where we’ll enjoy a leisurely boat cruise on the St Lucia Estuary, waters teeming with hippos and crocodiles, the skies wide open for the dive of the African fish eagle and other birds on the lakeside. Off the boat, and into our open vehicle for a game drive through the Eastern Shores Game Reserve, searching for everything from rhino to leopard. We stop at scenic viewing points overlooking the Lake and the Indian Ocean, and photographic opportunities abound. We head for Cape Vidal’s beautiful beaches, where we all relax on the sand, while the more active among us, get masks and flippers, and show us how snorkelling is really done (gear provided). It’s a day full of promise, full of opportunities for game viewing on land and water, and the satisfaction of spending a full day in and around a World Heritage Site.
